Congresswoman Lauren Underwood Announces Spanish Language Website, Outreach

Underwood’s campaign website is now fully translated into Spanish.

ST CHARLES, IL – Congresswoman Lauren Underwood unveiled her Spanish language campaign website today. Underwood is committed to reaching and representing all of her constituents, regardless of the language they speak. Lauren Underwood for Congress has hosted nearly twenty Spanish language phonebank events to connect with the thousands of Spanish speakers in Illinois’ 14th District over the course of the campaign. Underwood is also running Spanish language advertisements locally.

“When I was elected to Congress, I made a promise to my constituents. I pledged to be the most accessible Congresswoman this community has ever seen. To me, that means meeting people where they are, in their preferred language,” Congresswoman Underwood said. “I’m committed to being a champion for our Latino community, from working to reduce the costs of prescription drugs to advocating for a pathway to citizenship for immigrants who have spent much of their lives in the United States and exercising oversight over the humanitarian crisis on our southern border.”

ST. CHARLES, IL – La congresista Lauren Underwood reveló hoy su página de internet en español. Underwood está comprometida con alcanzar y representar a todos de sus electores, sin importar el idioma que hablan. En el transcurso de la campaña, Lauren Underwood para el Congreso ha organizado cerca de veinte campañas telefónicas para conectarse con los miles de hispanohablantes del distrito 14 de Illinois. Underwood también está pasando anuncios publicitarios en español localmente.

“Cuando me eligieron para ir al Congreso, le hice una promesa a mis electores. Prometí ser la congresista más accesible que haya visto esta comunidad.
