Underwood has raised nearly $7 million to support her reelection campaign.
ST. CHARLES, IL — Congresswoman Lauren Underwood announced today that she raised $1.8 million in campaign funds during the third FEC fundraising quarter of 2020. Underwood’s quarter three fundraising brings her to a total of $6.7 million for the 2020 election cycle. During the third quarter of 2020, Underwood received contributions from nearly 25,000 supporters; 90 percent of those donations were under $200. Underwood, a registered nurse and public health expert, has made access to high-quality, affordable health care her top priority in Congress.
“This campaign is so much bigger than me,” Congresswoman Underwood said. “Team Underwood is made up of parents, small business owners, union members, students, Republicans, Democrats and Independents. I’m so thankful for this generous support and look forward to earning the support of voters across the 14th Congressional District.”
Underwood also released a new television ad today highlighting her legislation, the Lower Insulin Costs Now Act, which President Trump signed into law at the end of 2019. Underwood has been endorsed for reelection by each of the newspaper editorial boards serving Illinois’ 14th District: The Chicago Tribune, The Chicago Sun-Times, The Daily Herald and The Northwest Herald.
